Chocolate-Dipped Banana Popsicles
A cool summer treat, and fun to make with the kids!
- 6 ripe bananas
- popsicle sticks
- optional: dark chocolate for melting, chopped nuts, toasted coconut
Peel a ripe banana. Cut it in half width-wise. Push a plastic spoon or craft popsicle stick into one end (Target has these). Wrap each halved banana in plastic wrap and freeze for a couple hours. You can serve them straight from the freezer, or you can melt some dark chocolate, pour it on a shallow plate and roll the frozen pops in it VERY QUICKLY, as the chocolate will harden on immediately! You can also dip the banana in crushed nuts or toasted coconut! Place on wax paper and put in the freezer to set for one hour.
