My Curly Hair Care Routine
I have super curly, dry and frizzy hair so when the humidity strikes, I don’t fight it. Here is my au natural healthy hair routine that keeps my head from looking like a lion mane, and saves me time which is better spent on food prepping or squeezing in a workout.
Below I share my curly hair care routine:
Redken Color Extend Magnetics Sulfate-Free shampoo & conditioner – I feel like I just visited the salon after I use this. Expensive, but worth every penny. I buy this at Ulta which offers coupons for $3.50 off purchases over $10.
Moroccan Oil – A dab will do ya here! I just put a little bit on the ends and work through the frizzier areas of my hair while it’s still wet and avoid applying to the roots.
John Frieda Sea Waves Salt Spray – OMG. The BEST. They briefly discontinued this magical stuff, and I found some on eBay. Then they brought it back due to popular demand. Smells like coconut and vacation in a bottle. Spritz on before or after applying gel to hair, or alternate while you scrunch hair with hand/work it in.
Tresemme Gel – This is the most basic product I use, but it doesn’t make my hair crunchy and when you re-wet it, it gets reactivated nicely. Use a medium amount and work through your whole head, apply more if you need to. The last thing I do is blow dry and scrunch hair on a low setting if I have time. If not, I pull my hair back in a loose clip until it starts to dry and I can rewet if some areas look kinda funky. This takes me about 20 minutes versus the 45-60 it usually takes to blow dry and straighten.
Note: I am not affiliated with any of these products, and do not receive compensation for plugging them. I wanted to share some brands I love during my actual hair routine. 🙂
